Committees

In the Prefectorial Board, every one of us, from the Head Prefect to an Assistant Prefect, is part of one of the 2 Committees, Internal Affairs Management (IAM) and Student Affairs Management (SAM). The Assistant Prefects are placed in one of the 2 committees in random when they first join the Board, after which they most usually remain in the same committee till the end of their time in the Board. The committees are an integral part of our Prefectorial Board, as they promote leadership renewal, with the seniors mentoring a future batch of leaders while Prefects and Assistant Prefects grow from their experience. Each of the committees has its own Chairman, who is also part of the Executive Committee.

Internal Affairs Management (IAM)

The IAM Committee has the responsibility of planning the several activities and events that take place within the Board. IAM operates on the basis that while we all serve the school, we still need manpower to manage our internal interests and ensure that we function as a cohesive unit. IAM seeks to bond members of the Board closer as Brothers and create long-lasting and meaningful relationships by providing opportunities in their several initiatives. IAM paves the way for Prefects to learn to work together and develop as leaders, while also creating unforgettable memories together. Objectively, the projects IAM manage are targeted at the well-being of the prefects. Mostly, it manages internal matters such as the Board Shirt and the Prefect Notice Board in the SAC, and also plans fun activities for the board itself like Operation Birthday and occasional board outings.

Student Affairs Management (SAM)

The SAM Committee has the unique mission of satisfying the recreational interests of the students in the school and also engages in providing emotional support to them. SAM's flagship event are the Interclass Soccer Tournaments for the various levels, which is organized during the post-exam period after the Mid-Year Examinations each year. The tournament serves to be a time of bonding for the classes while also de-stressing after a hectic period of examinations. SAM also executes projects like Project Smile before the examinations, where decorated cards are given to teachers to write words of encouragement for their classes and placed on the doors outside each class, or Project Blessed, where the ACSplorers will write heartening messages to welcome their respective Year 1 classes into the school family. SAM continues to brainstorm for ideas that may add value to our students' school life. Whatever its intention is, SAM continues to initiate projects that add value to the general student population’s lives
