Prefectorial Board Teachers-in-Charge

​

The Prefectorial Board Teachers-in-charge oversee all the activities of the Prefectorial Board, including administration and discipline of our Prefects. They also play an important role in communication with other teachers with regards to duties.

Prefectorial Board Executive Committee

​

​

The Prectorial Board Executive Committee, also known as Prefect Council, is responsible for the overall operation of the Board. The Exco is involved in the administration, duty planning, discipline, development and guidance of the Prefects. The Exco is headed by the Head Prefect, who is assisted by 3 Vice-Head Prefects and also includes 8 Prefect Councillors.

  • The Head Prefect represents the head of the Board and is responsible for its day-to-day running as well its image within and outside school

  • Each of the 3 Vice-Heads are responsible for a specific aspect of the Board or the School and also assist the Prefect Councillors in executing their duties

  • The HR Councillors manage the duties of the Prefects, from regular Morning Duty to large-scale School Events


Murugesh Parthiv| 4.10 | Administration Councillor

  • The Administration Councillor is responsible for the orderly administration of the Board, with duties ranging from compiling attendance lists to taking minutes during meetings and managing the group email system

Hu XuanHao | 4.16 | Internal Affairs Councillor

  • The Internal Affairs Councillor attends to all internal matters related to the Board and is also the Chairman of the Internal Affairs Management (IAM) committee

 

Aden Low Xing Le | 4.16 | Student Affairs Councillor

  • The Student Affairs Councillor attends to all matters related to the general student body and is also the Chairman of the Student Affairs Management (SAM) committee

Doel Kieran Tan | 4.16| Training and Discipline Councillor

  • The Discipline Councillor is responsible for ensuring that Prefects uphold high standards of discipline, manages the Bookings Database and ensures that all Prefects undergo leadership development during their time in the Board and also manages the recently introduced Mentorship System

  • The Communications Councillor holds the responsibility of ensuring smooth communication between the Board and other parties, and very importantly looks into matters related to cheering, including the revampment of cheers and training of Prefects for cheering events

Senior Prefects

​

The Senior Prefects, as the name suggests, are the most senior members of the Prefectorial Board and hold this honour on the basis of their dedication and service to the School and Board as well as their experience in various duties over the years. Senior Prefects, together with the Exco Members, are also involved in the mentorship of the younger Prefects and Assistant Prefects. They may also be required to step up and lead Prefects in the absence of Exco Members.

Prefects

​

The Prefects are largely the Year 3s who have progressed from being the most juior members of the Board and are generally seen as the next batch of leaders in the Board, being constantly groomed by Exco Members and Senior Prefects for future leadership roles.
